I believe that Christopher Columbus serves as a Villain. Because of the torturing of the Indians, he thinks that he could be the leader of the country, Hispaniola. But I don't understand, why Columbus would torture these peaceful Indian tribes. If one of the Indians don't mine for gold, then the soldier of Columbus would take the hand of the Indian, then chop off the tips of his fingers and then the ear and so on and so forth.Thank god he didn't find China because then he would be the leaders of Hispaniola, the US, and China.

i believe that he is a villain because he sailed and found a place that was already owned by native americans then he stole all of their gold and also tricked them so he can take their land i think christopher columbus deserved everything he got.

In my opion i believe that Chrisptopher Columbus is neither. the reason i believe that is because he was human like i kno he deffiantly did some wrong doing, like everyone has but it i dont that he has so much cruel that we have to put him as a villain, but also u cant give him the word HERO!, because at the same time he proclaimed lands where people have been before he was there he deffiantly took advantage at the fact that the indians didnt have the knowledge as he did, so i think its neither , because he took advantage and also helped but only where it meet hes needs and benefet him

Christopher Columbus was a Villain. Any human who destroys the home of other humans is a selfish, jealous, power seeking person.
But we can't blame the whole history just on him. Christopher Columbus is the name that stands out for the period in history when Europeans decided to steal from the rest of the world. So, who is there to blame? it is the politics, the leaders, the philosophers (who worked for these kind of leaders), the business men etc etc...

Also, You can never call Christopher Columbus a Hero. A hero is someone who appreciates the people of the world, who helps human development, who supports and LOVES all humans no matter their color, their age, their beliefs.

Christopher Columbus along with the rest of the people who lead the colonization, these people have hurt our world. They thought that by invading other people's homes they could be powerful and in control. But no, the results of this animalistic behavior is that you break human brotherhood, frienship, love and peace. and without these elements there will never be happiness.
So, if u hurt somebody who you say is a stranger to you, at the end you will hurt yourself.
